Discover the Bold New Voice of Indian Animation! Eight incredible creators bring to life six fresh, unforgettable stories that reflect the energy and diversity of modern India. These are contemporary tales—vibrant, edgy, and thought-provoking—with their hearts grounded in the rituals, traditions, and rhythms that have shaped India for centuries. From striking visuals to emotionally rich storytelling, each project offers a unique lens on what it means to be Indian today—where the old and the new don’t just coexist, they inspire.
Curated by the International MIFA Campus(IMC) @ AniMela and mentored by Industry professionals, these stories will be pitched to top-tier producers, distributors, and investors at the official Namaste MIFA (International Animation Film Market) showcase during the Annecy International Animation Film Market 2025.

IDC, IIT Mumbai, Maharashtra || 7th – 9th March, 2025
Aniverse & Visual Arts Foundation, in collaboration with MIFA-Annecy Festival, is bringing the 2nd edition of the International MIFA Campus (IMC) to India once again. Continuing in our bid to promote Indian animation talent and Indian stories to a global audience, we are inviting artists and animators across the country to share their work-in-progress projects with us. A Selection Panel of Indian industry experts will shortlist the most promising projects along with the Annecy MIFA team. Eventually, 5 most promising projects from India will get to participate at the IMC.
These projects will participate in a 4-day long extensive workshop in IDC, IIT Mumbai Campus, Maharashtra in March 2025. The workshop will be mentored by three mentors from Annecy International Animation Festival. The workshop participants will get mentoring in developing the creative side of their projects as well as support to prepare the right pitch to promote their project to a professional international audience.
On the final day of the workshop, the participants will get an opportunity to pitch their project to a curated audience of industry professionals (studios, producers, agents, funders).
AniMela 2025 announces the official selection of projects for its four-day "Talents" workshop, in partnership with the Annecy Festival.
